My pastel painting is of an old iconic dilapidated corrugated iron house that was subsequently burned down by the land owner to allow the land to be used for agricultural purposes - in Nelson, New Zealand – it was once the main homestead/farmhouse and later became a barn (hence the corrugated iron that was applied to the structure) while the white graffiti heart I believe was someone protesting the proposed removal of this iconic landmark and showing that they loved it!
