Peonies and Silver

I spotted bunches of peonies at the local supermarket and I stood there in delighted shock! Peonies in Brisbane!? Unheard of! [I could be persuaded to move to a temperate climate purely so I could grow peonies to paint!] I just had to buy them and started painting straight away as it was a warm September day. The flowers were wilting before me and so I was inspired to paint loosely - the impressionistic painting was the result.
