This painting is part of a series of women with mixed cultures heritage.
Bryony’s grand mother is Moriori, from the Chatham Islands, NZ.
She is the youngest of my sitters and her life is before her, so I left the portrait unfinished, unrefined. It is float mounted to give it a modern feel to its presentation.
